Recently the Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has announced that the government is taking serious measures to introduce conceptual learning and examinations in educational institutes all across the province. Speaking at an awareness session held at the Woman University Rawalpindi on Tuesday, Rana Sikandat Hayat highlighted the significance and importance of practical and conceptual learning that will allow Pakistan to become ready and compete with the modern world.
Government Initiatives for Educational Reform
Rana Sikandar Hayat revealed that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has also formed a task force to make the adaptation of conceptual exams even more effective. In addition, the government is also launching a teacher training program in Punjab that will equip teachers with the tools and methodologies needed to deliver conceptual learning effectively to the students.
“Practical learning is the need of the hour,” the Edycation Minister added. He further assured that school and college principals would be empowered to address the challenges faced by teachers and students. Moreover, longstanding issues within the education department are expected to be resolved within the next three months.
